The picture makes the coin look silvery white, when in fact it is a brassy yellow. I think the scalloped edge is very cool. This type of coin was made from 1993 through 1998. It is worth 20 cents, or 2.6 cents USD.
Hong Kong used its own coins up until the retrocession to China in 1997. To my knowledge, no Hong Kong coins have been struck since 1998. Through widespread use and acceptance of the Octopus transit card, Hong Kong has come closer than any other nation to being a cashless society.
The reverse of the coin depicts the Bauhinia flower.
